Dr. Rev. Samuel Huang

Founder and Director

Dr. Rev. Sin-Wei (Samuel) Huang is the distinguished founder and executive director of Brokenhearted and Hope Ministries, INC., an esteemed organization dedicated to the pursuit of healing and restoration. With an illustrious career as a pastor, preacher, and spiritual advisor, Dr. Huang has devoted his vocation to assisting individuals in navigating profound and complex challenges, including divorce, separation, ecclesiastical disputes, and spiritual crises.

Demonstrating exceptional compassion and unwavering faith, Dr. Huang offers discerning counsel to those enduring emotional and spiritual adversities. His ministry serves as an enduring beacon of hope, providing indispensable guidance to pastors, church leaders, and members of the Christian community seeking to reconcile and fortify their spiritual relationship with God. Through a meticulously designed and transformative healing framework, Brokenhearted and Hope Ministries empowers individuals to reclaim serenity and spiritual renewal as they progress in their faith journey.

Rev. Sharon Kao

Pastoral Counsellor

Sharon Kao has over two decades of experience in ministry leadership. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, she grew up in a family practicing idol and ancestor worship but found peace and purpose after accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1987. Inspired by the gospel and Matthew 9:35–38 teachings, she answered God's call to ministry.

Sharon earned her Bachelor of Theology from Central Taiwan Theological Seminary in 1992 and continued her theological studies in the United States. 1997, she graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio with a Master of Arts in Christian Education. More recently, she enrolled at Logos Evangelical Seminary, where she is completing her Doctor of Ministry coursework and focusing on her dissertation.

As a minister at Kent Chinese Friends Church, Sharon plays a pivotal role in multiple areas, including pastoral care, discipleship training, worship team coordination, and training. Sunday preaching and premarital counseling. She is a certified facilitator with FOCCUS Inc. (4th Edition), providing specialized support in relationship preparation.

Beyond her ministry, Sharon has a wide range of interests. She enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and listening to classical music, with a particular appreciation for violin and piano performances. She also has a passion for opera, Broadway, and musical theater. Sharon has been married to Samuel Huang since 1992. They have two adult sons, Joshua and Joseph, and two cherished dogs, Millie and Koby.

Dr. Rev. David Williams

Pastoral Counsellor

Having served as a youth pastor, family pastor, lead pastor, campus pastor, and regional superintendent, Dave brings more than 40 years of field experience and 25 years of classroom experience to his current role as Professor of Practical Ministry and Director of Church Relations at his alma mater, Malone University.
Following his graduation from Malone, Dave completed a master’s in biblical studies at Ashland Seminary and a doctorate in leadership and spiritual formation at George Fox University. His doctoral dissertation, “Sustaining Spiritual Leadership for the Long Haul,” provided the inspiration for his first book, Rhythms of Grace: Life-Saving Disciplines for Spiritual Leaders.

As a “pastor to pastors,” Dave considers it a high and holy privilege to serve as a teacher, mentor, and sacred companion for a new generation of Christian leaders. His core passion is to encourage, equip and empower God’s people for faithful, effective, lifelong service on behalf of Christ and his Kingdom.
Dave and his wife Carol met at Malone and have been partners in full-time Christian service throughout their 41 years of marriage. By God’s grace, they have been blessed with six children and thirteen grandchildren along the way. As northeast Ohio natives, they are all die-hard Cleveland sports fans.

In his free time, Dave enjoys sports, travel, reading, photography and spending lots of time with his family. When away from home, he is likely to be found wandering in the wilderness on a scenic hiking trail, bike path, or kayaking route. To borrow from one of his favorite authors, J.R.R. Tolkien, “Not all who wander are lost.”

Rev. Denny Craker

After more than 40 years of pastoring churches and serving in cross-cultural missions, I am especially burdened to help my co-workers in ministry! After many years of caring for my co-workers, I have realized that God's Word is authoritative and powerful, but its effect and influence in the hearts of people is affected by the "vessel! When a “vessel” is healthy, strong, and growing in life, God's Word is a powerful tool to edify, comfort, help, and fulfill a person! But when the “vessel” is a wounded, broken, weary, and powerless “vessel,” the same powerful Word can become a weapon of oppression, criticism, judgment, and demands. My burden is to help my fellow church members get help so that they can fulfill their God-committed mission and continue to serve God!
